A. You could wear big hats like Karen Blixen, and shawls, while playing the music softly and reading the letters. You could sit at a little table with a candle, reading the letters as you pretend to write. If you have some stuffed animals, you could put them at her feet. She loved her dogs, her pet antelope, and birds (storks, owls, and parrots). She also loved to cook, so you could serve something to the class she made with her cooks, Hassan and Kamante (13 January 1924).
The most dramatic letter she wrote was 1 April 1926, when she was very upset and called herself Lucifer's Child. She tells Thomas Dinesen to send her the money to come home; she will die if remaining in Africa. She also told him that she hated it in Africa and did not want to go back (24 February 1926). But she changed her mind later. 5 August 1926 and 5 September 1926 are also good letters with a better attitude.
